Grubb Properties earns first ever NGBS Silver Certificate
(CHAPEL HILL, N.C.) March 23, 2021 – Grubb Properties is honored to be recognized by The National Green Building Standard (NGBS) with a Silver Certificate for its commitment to creating sustainable communities. Link Apartments® Linden in Chapel Hill is Grubb Properties’ first community to earn the NGBS Silver Certificate. Only five multifamily communities in Chapel Hill have earned any level of NGBS designation.
NGBS is the only green building rating system for homes and apartments approved by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) as an American National Standard. NGBS provides a blueprint for builders to follow for the design and construction of new and renovated single-family homes and multifamily apartment buildings. There are four certification levels – Bronze, Silver, Gold and Emerald – that are graded on six levels: energy efficiency, water efficiency, resource efficiency, lot development, operation and maintenance, and indoor environmental quality.
